Technique: Handdrawn batik on handspun cotton
Description: An overall diamond pattern is composed of a center stepped motif which alternate red and blue. The red ones have a white center block filled with either a blue rectangle or nine blue dots. The blue stepped designs have an eight-petalled flower outlined in red with white dots. A white grid radiates out from the center block design. There is a light brown selvage.
Comment: This is a very old batik, but the style is one that relates closely to ceplok motifs seen in Central Javanese batik.
Condition: One end is missing and there is damage along one edge.
Dimensions: 1' 9 1/2" x 4' 3 1/2 ( .55 x 1.31 m )
